Colors is an insanely powerful décor element in the world and the world`s greatest architect and designer surely knows how to use it in the natural habitat. We see the shades of green refreshing the entire world in thousands of different habitats, we see the gray carrying the great weight of the elements in snow, in our mountains and the purity of blue in multiple shades meeting on the horizon line with skies, oceans and seas alike.
That is not to say that nature does not use insanely powerful colors, nature too uses that neon orange sprinkled by mankind today, nature too uses red, purple and all the colors that one man could perceive, if we look carefully, we will find in nature all the colors that we seek.
In nature though, very much like in contemporaneity`s designs, color is an accent, that is because it is special, because if all animals were able to feature this color for intimidation it would not be successful anymore wouldn`t it?
In designer schools around the world the disciple first and foremost learns to control the drawing through lines, to provide depth, configure space through simple lines and their stroke. After lines, shades, the most important effect of light, joins the setting, this animates volumes, explains perspective indirectly and offers the artist full control over a perspective`s depth; texture follows the two in the process, all these steps being expressed in gray scale, through the pencil only.
Color is one of the last elements that one artist masters in a design school, its effects are immense and it goes without saying that they can make or break the immense work put through to get with the drawing to this point. The control of color should be absolute for one to use right, it should be bend by the light`s desires and poured into the picture with immense care.
Some of us never get to control color absolutely, some of us never able to control simple lanes or shades. We are all different and in these incipient steps one could define its signature design.
In interior design, one could experiment with color, discreetly, in the attempt to find balance. A trial an error process can be very successful, every setting is different and we all perceive color differently so one ought to find the right ratio, a unique ration for each setting, surge colorful inspiration from the gallery below and start you colorful endeavors.
