Designed by Claudia Danelon and Federico Meroni, this minimalist black modern bathtub is included in the prestigious designers’ Beyond Collection, surprises most of us with one pure and sublime thing, simplicity.
Clear, minimalist and elegant, we consider that most of the bathrooms in which the bathtub has a consecrated place are the ones with nature included , either by landscape or just a bonsai near the sink. Most of us see the bathtub like a block with a hole in it; in this case the hole is situated in bigger block and the shape is perfectly defined just by the bathtub itself. Also the simple clear and smooth shape is defined by a delicate line that contrasts with the tough aspects and roughness of the monolith block. Our suggestion to complete the interior with an amazing big window ,nature view or just some kind of vegetation inside, is based on the idea of attaching to the delicate line something organic which can either complete or contrast the whole design.
Its dimensions are 185x109x60h and the monolith that it stands on measures 245x80x45h. Because the block in which the bathtub is locked in is far longer and the tub is just half fixed in the block, the bathtub seems to flow out of it. For some of us this may create the feeling of floating above your problems and be some kind superior, being over, floating above the level, where as for others it may create the feeling of exposure and insecurity.
We love this design and we would very much like to hear your opinion.
