Designed by Par Arquitectos House Tavonatti is one of the most warm and familiar retreats we have seen, it`s located in the region Cachagua, Zapallar in Chile. The concept and design are simple, two blocks overlapped one being launched towards the views and one sitting quietly transparent into the natural slope. These volumes are connected by exterior staircases, offering clean open plan spaces. On the top of the first volume the architects have designed a terrace which allows inhabitants to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in fresh air as well on a good cup of coffee.
The home is quite interesting from a functional point of view as well, it`s well built, very energy efficient, using a metal structure it could have been built in less then a month, being the perfect retreat from a monotone lifestyle at the end of the week whilst making a statement for herself and its beauty. It resides beautifully in its site, using dark tones to camouflage itself in the surroundings.
In the interior design coziness, warmth and cheerful elegant colours are definitory, being safe to say that the shabby chick style made another victim. What we like the most is that it seems natural, it looks like it belongs there, and nonetheless, judging by the owners level of implication in tiny details, like the breathtaking backyard landscaping, they seem to belong there as well. We would love there your opinion about this modern mansion in the comment section bellow.
