Today we are going to present you one of the designs of Karim Rashid, we’ve chosen this particular one because it has a special place in his portfolio, the chair design itself makes a cause for himself and outtakes the normal boundaries.
The solid cedar stools that he designed are neither colorful nor made out of some revolutionary or extravagant material. Presented as Fiore and Delta, the couple of stools are made out of a very traditional wood, solid cedar wood.
The name of Fiore, which means “flower” in Italian is given based on the apparel of course, Fiore resembling a flower, each outer unite representing a petal. Delta has a pretty much random shape yet a very original apparel ;as we can`t make our own interpretation out of the shape we can only assume that as Fiore represents the feminine part .Delta comes in contradiction with both the shape and name of Fiore ,therefore representing something more masculine, more brutal.
We see these chairs perfect for a white stark interior or a rustic interior, places in which they either integrate in the overall design or they will become accents in a perfect harmony with the other pieces of furniture.
What do you think ? Where you would place these stools?
