Follow the simple steps found below and create your own perfect wooden bath caddy with ease.

1. DIY Reclaimed Wood Bath Caddy-  CHOOSING OF THE PERFECT PIECE OF WOOD

We have chosen to go with a piece selected from an old wooden floor that had been replaced. The age of the wood and its natural imperfection have been desired in order to obtain a more original outcome of the end product.

The functional part of our wooden caddy has been finalized, we proceed with the aesthetic part. We`ve really wanted that rustic, natural look to come forward.

18. add a wood stripper and wait for it to do its magic

The wood stripper solution is rather toxic so we recommend you to use it in open air and wear a mask and gloves. We`ve used it to make sanding easier. It thinned the layer of varnish.

An electrical sanding machine has been used to bring the wooden texture forward. You can sand it by hand as well but it will take far longer. It might take a while to eradicate the old varnish but the result will be stunning.
