One of its most important and amazing features is the landscape that unveils in front of it, the Oresundstrait and the Swedish isle of Hven, a spectacular picture that inspires freedom and contemplation. The owner’s initial thought was that he would live with his second wife but because of their divorce, the quite vaste elegant modern mansion has become something of a bachelor pad. A quite unique and amazing one. The ensemble benefits from a contemporary backyard landscaping design that enhances the atributes of the house and enables its inhabbitants to extend their activities to the exterior as well and enjoy the spectacular natural surroundings. The home’s overall design consists of simple white shapes contrasting with the warm color of the wooden window frames and parquet. Large glazings connect the interior with the environment and take advantage of the landscape.

“We wanted to bring the view of the sea into the house.”

Carsten Fischer

At first glance, the exterior walls appear to be made of concrete but they are in fact made of brick, covered with a bright-white stucco wash. The sloped roof is a traditional way of building things but in this case, the designers given it a fresh look and a certain appeal. The walls and the slopes are part of the same shape and create a protective shell, guarding the welcoming interior. As one enters the house through its main door he is greeted by a modern steel-and-oak staircase that splits the elegant modern masion in two parts, a very simple and sincere architectural gesture of great effect. The interior’s main atribute is openess and lots of light flowing through the large windows and enhanced by the white finish of the walls. There are no less than seven bedrooms, a Jacuzzi and a luxurious swimming pool that are finished with local granite and lighted with skylights.
