Studio MK27 is a Sao Paulo based architecture practice that realized an exemplary Brazilian modern retreat, ‘Casa Branca’ is entitled. The home has been designed to withstand the extreme tropical conditions, taught to adapt to to its environment from the early design stages without compromising anything, the home opens and closes up with ease thanks to wooden slats and sliding doors. The minimal two story structure is an extraordinary functional-design example, one tailored with wood, concrete and aluminium.
The communication between exterior and interior spaces is controlled by the inhabitant fully; the home can open up toward its expansive terrace and swimming pool with floor-to-ceiling glass panels for a memorable indoor-outdoor experience. The design has been described by its authors simply as :
” tropical minimalism, greatly influenced by Brazilian Modernism.”
