Today we have been shattered into pieces by the outstanding work of a South Korean Digital Artist entitled Kyu-In Shim . We have discovered the project on Empty Kingdom and simply froze for two minutes, watching the pieces.
The artist conceptualized mannequin characters in an unspeakable manner, in forms and compositions full of meaning and substance. Every piece speaks without words to the viewer in some cases the sculpture actually screams. Everything is black and white yet the inner core of the visualization can easily mirror the colorful reflection of each individual meditating, contemplating on his own life through the pieces of plastic. The series are entitled “Huk Huk”, which in Korean has two meanings: “black” and the “sound of crying” both appropriate. The other two series showcased below are labeled “Small Space” and “Bowl”.
We stood, we froze, we were impressed and we would love to hear your feedback on it. The art pieces are definitely controversial.
