Rectangular shapes form the balanced composition that follows, beautifully positioned close to a beach in a seaside village in Buenos Aire Province, Argentina. The establishment is only meters away of the ocean, enjoying the wonderful sound of the waves and the refreshing breeze from a strategical position, one that can nestle a relaxing living experience. Industrial aesthetic values define the beach home that proudly wears exposed concrete, inviting the natural environment to put his footprint on it, evolving in time, changing its appearance as it ages.
The beautiful concrete home envisioned by BAK Architects is positioned between sea and forest, the home being protected from distractions, subdued to the nature`s wonders. A few trees, small vegetation, water and sand is all there is. Sea`s emerald water remains the focal point in the setting.
The home was designed for a young family of five that asked for a spacious home. The material were chosen thanks to their resilience, low maintenance and raw aspect that was easily integrated into the site. The establishment is separated in two units, one that would serve the guests and one for the family.
The home opens up toward the environment through extensive glass wall surfaces. On the main floor, situated above street level, the living room, the kitchen, a deck and two bedrooms for children are found. The top floor nestles the master bedroom suite and a large terrace.
The views are exemplary through-out the home, ratios between glass and concrete on the facade are balanced perfectly and the wooden terraces offer depth in the composition regardless of angle.
Simple and bold, the expression of concrete and the mature design of the home will surely withstand the test of time in an exemplary manner. What do you think about this concrete beach home? We would love to hear your valuable feedback on the subject in the comment section below.
