“There are so many old industrial areas with abandoned train tracks all over the place. Our concept uses what already exists without any need for large infrastructural investments”
The concept in discussion is forged from a highly prevalent problem worldwide : abandoned industrial buildings. Railways tracks which are no longer needed abandoned trough dozens of country in serene backgrounds filled with lush vegetation. The master plan realized by the Swedish architects Jagnefalt Milton for Åndalsnes in Norway envisioned this aspect and enhanced to an extraordinary level. They have created a modern hotel concept a superb location which was suffering from the disease entitled industrial abandoned train tracks.
The modern minimalist hotel places the individual rooms directly on the tracks in a immediate connection with the setup and extraordinary background. The existence of a movement allows tourists to experience the natural habitat in all its splendor directly. The concepts is practically a kinetic structure that can take the tourists and visitors into the heart of the fjords; this being a very important aspect, providing extraordinary flexibility. The concept can be adjusted to match seasons and events and satisfy different groups.
The initial proposal of the architects also included a swimming pool and a concert hall. We can`t wait to see it alive but till then we would love to hear your opinion regarding the concept.
