Located in Downtown Sarasota, Florida, The Spencer House is definitely one of the most beautiful mansions in contemporary style featured on our website. It has been designed by Guy Peterson from the Office for Architecture Studios based in Sarasota and it has extraordinary aesthetics values trough impeccable simplicity and unique equilibrium between proportions.
The modern mansion is developed mainly on the ground floor with a three storey accent to emphasize the position and capture extraordinary views; from the perspective of a pedestrian our dream home can be considered a little fortress, the concrete wall being rather bold in its simplicity, being pierced by rectangular shapes over the facade. These shapes are crucial for the interior design, beside the natural light that comes trough them, they`re creating an extraordinary play of shadows in the interior, animating the spaces differently at any given hour depending on the position of the sun.
In the back, the modern mansion opens up to the backyard landscaping with huge glazed windows allowing the interior to stay bright most of the day.The privacy line is very well drawn here, the pedestrian being invited to admire the monumental dream home from the front lawn with a price, making him feel bad, uncomfortable that he is trespassing. After entering the house everything changes, spaces are opening up towards you and the whole site, along with the amazing backyard landscaping and roof top, transcends in your comfort zone, making you feel at home and welcomed.
From my point of view, this is one of the best homes we have ever featured on Homesthetics. Not because it`s flashy, but because the whole ensemble, the design process is very well controlled and balanced. The privacy line is very important, the balance between volumes and windows, everything is rather simple yet very impressive being manipulated magnificently by the architecture firm. We are not even going to mention the covered indoor pool. We are thrilled about this modern and we would love to hear your opinion about it bellow.
