Belarus is famous for its beautiful nature and is often referred to as a land of beautiful lakes, virgin forests and rare species of plants and animals. In this small wonderland we found an exquisite home, to be more specific, a perfect loft with an unusual mix of materials located in Minsk. Here we will find wood, bricks and concrete along with an outstanding gorgeous fireplace placed in the central part of the room, representing the heart of the home, the inner fire. The interior seems to be cut of from a vintage magazine presenting great contrasts and unique accents like steam punk elements or cozy chalet-like details, spread all around the house. A great contrast is realized by using an emerald-green couch that satisfies the need of color while keeping the vintage aspect along with the urban-industrial decor and Christmas coziness. The windows are made from floor to ceiling enabling the light to flood the interior, and the gorgeous wide views of the courtyard to serve as a background of the apartment itself, one sustaining the other.
If we`re talking about the connection between the pieces of the assemble we will notice a pleasant asymmetry going on, for example the ceiling is higher in the living room and lower in the rest of the house, giving the living room a unique feel, a more important status and functional attributes as well, you can fit a taller and larges Christmas tree in there for example.
The structures also comes in the benefit of the loft overall adding extra privacy to the office which was already strategically placed at the first floor.
This striking modern interior has been realized by the Rusian designer Uglyanitsa Alexander, we would very much like to hear your opinion regarding it.
If someone would describe an interior in which rusty pipes would have been placed you would consider it interesting and a little odd in the best case scenario, but let`s be honest, there are few out there that are interested in the texture and apparel of rust on metallic pieces.Yet here, along with brick walls, a metallic staircase and the whole concrete, along with the pipes and yellow arrows on the floor, this accent seems ideal, seems to create an unique experience that is worth exploring, an industrial yet vintage and cozy apparel, very odd considering that the industrial and coziness are not usually complementing each other.
