Utter simplicity expressed with raw concrete, that is how Swiss architects E2A have envisioned a family residence that resides in the outskirts of Zürich. The concrete residence encapsulates clearly defined spaces mainly focused on the surroundings.
A suite of courtyard-transformed-garden leading to home`s main entrance is unraveling before you from the first step on the property, naturally presenting itself. The establishment was entitled “House B” and it hosts a semi-autonomous section on the first floor, one that was envisioned as an office and gallery; its terrace allows expansive views over the nearby lake.
The architects are describing the home in a statement :
“The house is a calm and concentrated vision in an otherwise excitable, cluttered environment.”
What do you think about this pure concrete residence? The simplicity is remarkably beautiful from our point of view.
