Numbers that can go on and on.There isn’t actually a limit.Numbers that can mean just what they are meant to.Empty of any meaning. We have come to a point where every aspect of our daily life can be quantified. And for that reason and many more other our life has lost meaning and purpose. Whether we talk about money and all that the financial aspect inquires, or about relationships or human interactions, everything can be put into a category and classified and quantified. But like all good things in life, everything has to have a limit.
Numbers that were transformed into something more, associated with human emotions like grief, pain and loneliness.
A number that was set to be equaled to the human life. The lost human lives.Today, 12 years later we are responsible to see beyond the numbers and fully understand the extent of human actions and their consequences. Because in our chase for glory an fame we seem to have forgotten to be human and to lend a hand to the ones that surround us. Unless we were and are among the unfortunate ones that gave their lives in the 9/11 attacks we can not come to fully comprehend the extent of that tragic day and what it had and has meant for the human kind.
So this is a call to pause for a second, admire and acknowledge what a human life is really worth. And try not to transform it into a number with no significance. Because even one man is important and can make a difference.Remember those 2993, cherish their memory and try to see beyond the grief and the severity of that day and maybe then you can see with different eyes the world we have created around us and try little by little to change it into a brighter future.
