Anton Giuroiu

Architect — Founder & CEO

Anton Giuroiu is a Bucharest-based architect and the founder of Homesthetics, which he started on 20 October 2012, while still an architecture student, as a place to save the buildings, artworks, and objects that inspired him — the notebook this publication grew from. He is a graduate of the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism, class of 2017 — the school's RIBA-validated programme — with a specialization in restoration and industrial heritage.

Outside publishing, Anton practices architecture at sculpta, the Bucharest studio he co-founded with architect Cristina Giuroiu, whose MORA35 residential project won A'Design and Arch Design awards in 2022 and was covered by e-architect. Since 2017 he also leads Architecture Lab, our sister publication, where he directs Architecture Lab Magazine as Editor-in-Chief.

His writing on design has appeared beyond these pages — at MyMove, formerly Freshome, among others — and as a design expert he has been quoted by Realtor.com, Redfin, Apartment Therapy, and Bustle — in each case, as the founder of Homesthetics.
